The Artist
My name is Lynn and I just want to introduce myself and extend a G’day from the Ottawa Valley in Ontario, Canada. I have not always lived in the Ottawa Valley, but the area has been a great part of my artistic journey. I love Jesus, my husband, children and grandchildren and I love art. It was here in the Ottawa Valley where God woke my heart up to start creating again and where I have been influenced by wonderful artists from around the area.
As a child I dreamed about becoming an artist, but life sidetracked me and somewhere I laid the dream down, but along the way, I picked it up again. At first, I was frozen because I believed a lie that if you do not use your talent, you will lose it, but God reminded me that I could still create because I was created in His image and He is the greatest Creator. So, in ongoing faith, I stepped out and have been discovering the joy of fluid art with acrylic paint.
I invite Holy Spirit into the creative process, and He gives me ideas. I love the anticipation of not knowing how the pictures will turn out as I cannot control the outcomes and there is no room for perfection, just my best. I do not use paintbrushes as I prefer using different spatulas for swiping, straws for blowing and whatever else is lying around to create the images.
There are endless ways of expression with fluid art and I hope that when you look at my paintings you might catch some joy from perhaps a splash of color, or irregularities that make you smile or freedom to just enjoy.
Blessings, Lynn
